The top 10 things to do in Wilmington

We all like to go at that one place where you can keep it loose and have fun. Lifestyles of staying at one place are ever boring. It’s important that you get out there and get to see what nature has to offer and how other cities are doing. Well, if you have been wondering of a place full of surprises to visit, that place is Wilmington. It’s a city in Delaware State surrounded with places you want to be at. Once you land in the city, there will be plenty of stuff to do. Trust you me, you won’t have time to go to all the interesting places as the list is endless. I will give you the top 10 ideas of what to do just to ensure that you get to enjoy your stay.

Take a river walk
Walking is never the same when you are doing it along the Wilmington River. There are plenty of the Cape Fear River waterfront has all the fun you are looking for. There are many attractions and beautiful views including the 1914 Murchison building, cotton exchange and USS North Carolina. Souvenir shops and boutique shops are also available.

Visit the historic district
It is probably the longest of all districts starting from the market streets and the progressing past 230 blocks and counting. Along the district, there are museums, shops, restaurants, gardens, homes, churches and what have you. You got options as well. You can go for a tour guide or guide yourself. I prefer the latter as getting lost will be part of the fun.

Visit Bellamy mansion museum
Are you at the city of Wilmington, well, the museum is downtown. You don’t need to be anywhere else to see the extraordinary antebellum architecture. You have it, it’s one of the most interesting things to do in Wilmington.

Visit Airlie gardens
Seeing the beautiful gardens with historic origin is truly amazing. You just want to be there for longer. Visitors target the gardens as the place to be before they leave the city for home.

USS north Carolina battleship
After participating in so many wars, the ship has its rest now. Being a traditional ship, it was declared a landmark for people to have a view of how it was like fighting in the 1900s.

Visit Cape Fear museum
It turns out that the city is not short of museums. Being the oldest of all the museums in the city, you can’t afford not to go there and take a view of culture, history and even science.

Go to the Cape Fear Serpentarium
Perhaps you may want to see some serpents. Just to be scared a little that not all animals are friendly. Then the place for you is the Serpentarium.
